WorldEvents Celebrates EuBEA ROI Award

International event management agency WorldEvents was presented with the “Best Evaluation Award” at the European Best Event Awards ceremony 15 November in Milan. EuBEA is the leading European event award, enjoying 40% growth this year with 91 applicants from 12 countries.

The Best Evaluation Award was awarded to WorldEvents for successfully delivering their own staff conference in line with the ROI methodology and recording measurable ROI across the business in the 12 months following the event. Presenting the award, Dr. Elling Hamso of Event ROI Institute said: ‘We see here at EuBEA how good this industry is at staging spectacular events and creating wonderful experiences, but we also want to show the bottom line contribution, which WorldEvents has demonstrated its ability to do’.

The conference was dedicated to the company’s TripleImpact best practice initiative for event planning. A TripleImpact event minimizes the impact on the environment, delivers a social impact by giving back to the local community and delivers a commercial impact by way of return on investment. Sustainable events need to be financially viable as well as respectful of the environment and the local community.

The conference was planned according to the 5 levels of the ROI Methodology in terms of objectives and evaluation. ‘This was an incredibly useful basis on which to manage the content of the event in a way in which we were totally orientated around getting the messages across in the most powerful way’, according to Group Sales and Marketing Director Mark Saxby.

Collecting the Award on behalf of the company, European Director Andrew Winterburn commented: “Visible return on investment is obviously very important for the industry and it will become even more so in the future. We wanted to demonstrate the real value of an event and allow staff to experience the evaluation process first hand. As a result they can help clients generate real bottom line value from their events”.

WorldEvents were also placed in a Technical Excellence competition and were highly commended for the Best Staging / Set Design award.
